Today we say goodbye to one of our finest, PD Zara, a loyal and courageous British Transport Police dog who crossed the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge after a life of outstanding service and love.

Zara, a Belgian Malinois, served from 2015 to 2022 alongside her handler PC Curry, working as a General Purpose dog across London.

She played a vital role in keeping the public safe, and her bravery during the London Bridge terror attacks earned her the prestigious PDSA Order of Merit — the animal equivalent of an OBE.

Zara wasn't just a police dog. She was family, a partner, and a hero in every sense of the word. Her retirement years were spent surrounded by love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Run free, Zara. You served with honour, and you will never be forgotten. 🐕❤️
